Canon PIXMA G1100 Printer Review– The printer prints fairly well, especially with the photos, very reasonable running costs. But the lack of features makes it expensive compared to competitors. The direct response to Epson EcoTank and Brother inkvestment products is designed to deliver low-page ink costs, G1100 is one of Canon’s new Megatank G-series printers. But as a single-function printer, it really does not compete directly with any one.

Reservoirs, EcoTank models are integrated into the front of the chassis instead of making better-looking G-series printers, rather than add-ons or afterthoughts. A large black ink container is positioned on the left and three other (cyan, magenta and yellow) reservoirs on the right, allowing you to control the ink levels by looking at the front of the machine. As with EcoTank models, it’s the only way to say how much ink is left in the printer, but an alarm flashes when one or more of the inks are critically low.

The Pixma G1100 is lightweight and compact to sit comfortably on most desktops. And because it supports a single connection USB no Ethernet, Wi-Fi, no Wi-Fi Direct, no near Field communication (NFC) you will need to place it near your desk or PC. To get Wi-Fi from a megatank machine, you need to step into Pixma G3200 to the All-in-one, without the automatic document feeder (ADF) for an additional $50. The paper capacity consists of a tray that extends from the rear of the chassis and holds a 100 page (or 20 Premium photo paper sheets) and exits the output tray from the front. It is worth noting that PIXMA supports 5-by-5-inch photo format, without doubt inspired by Instagram. It is expanded with both trays, approximately half of G1100 and approximately approximately 8 inches deep.

There is no multipurpose tray to override the primary input source, but then remove and re-configure the media in the paper tray with a snap. The Pixma G1100 ‘s control Panel consists of two buttons, power and cancellation and related status LEDs. Canon broadcasts neither the maximum monthly duty cycle nor an unusual proposed monthly volume. Also, because of the lack of network connectivity, a PC cannot print from you cloud sites, and Flash memory devices are not supported.
